Thanks for visiting the National Corvette Registry "about us" page!!
This section will try to convey to you just what the National Corvette
Registry is all about, and why membership in the NCR can benefit you as
a Corvette owner or enthusiast. If there are any questions you have
after reading this, try the FAQ section, or feel free to contact the
NCR with any questions you might have.
- What is the National Corvette Registry? The
National Corvette Registry, or the NCR, is the central online Corvette
community that was founded to give all Corvette owners and enthusiasts
a place to call home, and the NCR is also the central starting place
for all Corvette owners and enthusiasts to connect with other Corvette
owners and enthusiasts, and to find all of the critical information
they have been searching all over the internet for... all in one
place!!
- What do you mean by "Central Onilne Corvette Community that is Connecting All Corvette Owners"?? Glad
you asked!! As you have searched for info on your Corvette or for a
Corvette Registry to join so that you can get member benefits for you
and your Corvette, I am sure you have always wanted a little more than
what most registries and clubs were offering. You don't want to have to
pay 2 different fees for your 2 different generation Corvettes just to
get some information on either Corvette, and you want to get to know
other Corvette owners who share the same passion as you do!! Now you
can get all that & more!! All in one place!! Right here, at the
National Corvette Registry!!
- Is the National Corvette Registry a club?
Well, yes and no. The National Corvette Registry was founded in
November 2004, and established in March 2005 by owner, Dave Hale. This
"labor of love" was the one sole vision of Dave, and together with the
help of his close personal friends & family (a great webmaster and
designer, a talented graphic design artist, and some of his best
friends), Dave has tirelessly worked to make his dream become a
reality. The NCR was established to act like a club, with a quarterly
newsletter, tons of FREE member benefits, and lots of chances to meet
new Corvette friends, but unlike most other clubs, the NCR does not
have any regular meetings or elected officers.
- I love
the NCR personalized membership card, and the cool looking nametags!!
Explain to me what the NCR membership number means.... no problem!! Let's look at an example: Membership #LC505001. The "L" represents the member is a Lifetime member of the NCR. The "C5"
represents the generation of Corvette that the member owns, and has
registered as his/her main Corvette in their membership. The "05" represents the year in which they joined the NCR... 2005. The "001" represents the member number for the year in which the member joined. This
example shows that this member joined as a Lifetime member in 2005, and
was the first in 2005 to do so, and is registered as a C5 owner in the
C5 Corvette Corner where you can see their pics and info if you too are
a member of the NCR.
- When is the NCR newsletter, "The Corvette Corner", published? The
NCR quarterly newsletter is published 4 times a year. The newsletter
will begin regular quarterly publication in Jan. 2007, with the 1st
issue, Volume 1, Issue #1- Winter 2007, arriving in your mailbox just
after New Years. The 4 quarterly issues and their mailing dates are as
follows:
- Volume 1, Issue #1-Winter 2007: Mailing Date: Jan. 2, 2007
-
Volume 1, Issue #2-Spring 2007: Mailing Date: Apr. 2, 2007
-
Volume 1, Issue #3-Summer 2007: Mailing Date: July 2, 2007
-
Volume 1, Issue #4-Fall 2007: Mailing Date: Oct. 1, 2007 (The Annual Christmas Issue)
- Tell me about how to join the NCR Forums. Sure thing. The NCR Forums are FREE to the public to join, but as a member of the National Corvette Registry, you are entitled to Members Only Areas of the Forums, just as in the NCR website. You can join or enter the forums by clicking the link to the left that says Message Boards. The
message boards allow the NCR and it's members and the general public to
communicate easily throughout the internet. Be sure to tell your
friends about the FREE NCR Forums so they can join in on the fun as well!!
- What are the benefits of joining the NCR?
